Fire Pumps
The Safety Committee is responsible for the fire pumps that are located around the lake. They look after
- Training of the pump stewards.
- Periodic testing of the pumps.
- Checking that all necessary equipment is in the pump box. ie. pump, fuel, intake hose, fire hose(s), nozzle.
- Making sure that the pumps are available and ready to use at amy time.
- Regular maintenance for the pumps as required.
- Winterization and storage of the pumps.
- Replacement of old pumps as needed.
- Relocation of pumps as needed to ensure the best coverage for the lake.
- Providing updated information for the Fire Pump map, that appears in every bulletin.
